The purpose of these sections is to implement the Texas Oral Health Improvement Act authorized by Senate Bill 894, 69th Legislature, 1985. The intent of the legislature was to authorize the Texas Board of Health to create within the Texas Department of Health a program to furnish oral health services to eligible individuals. Oral health services may include oral health promotion and education and the delivery of oral treatment services to eligible low-income individuals.
