PURPOSE: This rule describes the requirements and fees for obtaining permits for contests.
- (1) The promoter shall obtain a separate permit for each contest from the office prior to each contest. The request for the permit must be received by the office no later than ten
(10) business days before the date of a contest. The office will not approve permits for—
- (A) Bouts between members of the opposite sex for professional and amateur boxing, professional kickboxing, professional fullcontact karate, or professional and amateur mixed martial arts;
(B) Bouts between human contestants and 20 CSR 2040-2
nonhumans;
- (C) Bouts between professional and amateur contestants; or
- (D) Contests with more than two (2) contestants competing in the same bout.

- (2) Fees for professional boxing, professional
$ 40.00 and amateur kickboxing, professional full- $ 30.00 contact karate, professional mixed martial $ 50.00 arts and amateur mixed martial arts permits $ 50.00 are twenty-five dollars ($25) per contest per $200.00 day. Professional and amateur combined $ 20.00 events permit fee is twenty-five dollars ($25) $ 20.00 per contest per day. Fees for wrestling per- $ 0.00 mits are one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per contest per day.
- (3) The office may deny an application for such a permit or grant a limited, restricted,
$15.00 or conditional permit for any cause deemed sufficient by the office.
- (4) No promoter, official, or contestant may serve in any capacity at contests for which the office has denied a permit or for which a permit has not been issued. Such participation may be grounds for discipline.
- (5) The promoter must have an approved permit before any publicity is issued on the contest. Violation of this provision may be grounds for discipline.
- (6) All permit fees are non-refundable.
