  1. (a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
  2. (b) “Chief Executive Officer” means the Chief Executive Officer of Maryland Correctional Enterprises.

  3. (c) “Contracting unit” means a unit of State government that is:

    1. (1) authorized to contract for goods and services; or
    2. (2) responsible for procurement of goods and services.
  4. (d) “Management Council” means the Maryland Correctional Enterprises Management Council.
  5. (e) “Political subdivision” means a county, municipal corporation, or special taxing district.
