CHAPTER V

FIRE REPORTING

Section 1. Fire Reports; Responsibility.

(a) The chief officer of every fire department in the state shall report all fires occurring within that department's jurisdiction. The report shall include all information required by forms provided by the State Fire Marshal concerning the origin, facts and circumstances of the fire. For fires resulting in damage in excess of five hundred dollars ($500), the report shall be furnished to the State Fire Marshal within one (1) week of the fire. For fires resulting in damage of less than five hundred dollars ($500.00), The reports shall be forwarded to the State Fire Marshal monthly, before the 10th day of the month following the reporting period.
