Chapter 6: Corporations or Partnerships

Section 1. Practice by Corporations or Partnerships. Any Corporation or Partnership offering to practice professional engineering or professional land surveying must be registered with this Board.
Section 2. Corporations or Partnerships of Other States.
(a) Corporations or Partnerships of engineers and/or land surveyors from other states must register with the Board and obtain a Certificate of Authorization in order to furnish professional engineering and professional land surveying services to corporations, partnerships, individuals, state, and local government, etc., which are domiciled in or are residents of the state of Wyoming. In addition, the professional in charge of each engagement in Wyoming is required to be a Wyoming registrant.
(b) Firms performing professional services in Wyoming from more than one location outside the state must qualify the personnel at each location.
Section 3. Wyoming Corporations or Partnerships Composed of Engineers and/or Land Surveyors.
(a) Practice of engineering and land surveying in Wyoming is permitted in the corporation form authorized by Title 17 of the Wyoming Statutes, including professional corporations.
(b) Any action which causes the loss of the corporate charter voids all rights, registrations, and privileges of the corporation to practice engineering or land surveying in Wyoming.
(c) Each corporation registered under this Act will meet the requirements specified under W.S. 33-29-134.
Section 4. Registration of Corporations or Partnerships.
(a) The biennial registration for a Certificate of Authorization to practice professional engineering and/or professional land surveying in Wyoming will be effected by submitting to the Board office, on forms adopted by the Board, the following information:
(i) Firm name;
(ii) Location of each office in the state;
(iii) Phone number;
(iv) Name and corporate status of person in charge of professional activities of the firm in the state;
(v) Registration number of person in charge of professional activities of the firm in the state;
(vi) Seal and signature of person in charge of professional activities of the firm in the state;
(vii) Names, registration numbers, and corporate status of all personnel of the corporation who act in its behalf as professional engineers or professional land surveyors in the state;
(viii) Whether or not each office is advertised as an office of engineer and/or land surveyor; and
(ix) Description of professional engineer and/or professional land surveying services to be offered or practiced in the state.
(x) The Board office must be notified within thirty (30) calendar days of any name changes of responsible persons in charge; and if firm name changes. If firm name changes, a copy of the amended Certificate of Authority from the Wyoming Secretary of State is required before firm name will be changed in the Board's records.
(b) Corporations or Partnerships must complete a registration form every two years and submit to the Board, along with the required renewal fee, as set in Chapter III, Section 3 of these rules.
