Section 1. Course of Study for Cosmetology Students. The educational program of all schools shall include no less than ten and one half (10 ½) months of study and no less than two thousand (2000) hours for a complete cosmetologist course.
(a) One thousand (1000) hours shall consist of the following minimum training requirements and shall include related theory.

(b) The course of training for the remaining one thousand (1000) hours shall be at the discretion of the school to determine and may include as many as two hundred (200) hours of instruction by individuals other than cosmetology instructors where such instruction may serve to enrich the educational program offered.
(c) If any hours are accomplished outside the school premises, they must be acquired under the supervision or guidance of a cosmetology instructor.
Section 2. Course of Study for Student Instructor. Any course offered to student instructors shall consist of at least one thousand (1000) hours of instruction and shall have a curriculum which provides for the following:
(f) Record keeping for schools and students
(g) Theory class lectures
Section 3. Course of Study for Manicuring/Nail Technician Students. The education program for all manicuring students shall include no less than four hundred (400) hours for a complete manicurist/nail technician course.
(a) Three hundred seventy-five hours shall consist of the following minimum training requirements and shall include related theory.

(b) The course of training for the remaining twenty-five (25) hours shall be at the discretion of the school to determine and may include all (25) hours of instruction by individuals other than cosmetology instructors where such instruction may serve to enrich the educational program offered.
(c) If any hours are accomplished outside the school premises, they must be acquired under the supervision or guidance of a cosmetology instructor.
Section 4. Course of Study for Esthetician Students. The educational program for all esthetician students shall include no less than six hundred (600) hours for a complete skin care course.
(a) Three hundred (300) hours shall consist of the following minimum training requirements and shall include related theory.

(b) The course of training for the remaining three hundred hours shall be at the discretion of the school to determine and may include as many as fifty (50) hours of instruction by individuals other than cosmetology instructors where such instruction may serve to enrich the educational program offered.
(c) If any hours are accomplished outside the school premises, they must be acquired under the supervision or guidance of a cosmetology instructor.
Section 5. Credit Allowed When Transferring from One Course to Another. A student registered for a manicuring or esthetician course, or licensed manicurist or esthetician may transfer to or enroll in a full cosmetologist course with full credit of applicable hours.
