Section 1. Authority and Purpose. These rules are adopted by the Wyoming State Board of Cosmetology, hereafter 'Board', pursuant to the authority granted by W.S. 33-12-123 and 134, and in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, W.S. 16-3-101 through 115. They are adopted for the purpose of providing reasonable standards and procedures to the Board in undertaking its responsibilities pursuant to W.S. 33-12-119 through 140.
Section 2. Disposition of Fees. Under no circumstances will fees be refunded.
Section 3. Correspondence Courses and Apprenticeship Training. Correspondence courses and apprenticeship training are not recognized by the Board.
Section 4. Display of License. Every school, salon, cosmetologist and instructor shall conspicuously display the appropriate license(s) in the work or patron waiting area.
Section 5. Compliance Period. Full compliance with these rules is required ninety (90) days after the effective date of these rules.
Section 6. Credit Allowed to Barbers. A Wyoming licensed barber may enroll in a licensed cosmetology school, be given up to 1,000 hours of transfer credit, and upon completion of not less than 1,000 hours, be graduated from the school and qualify for the cosmetology examination.
