A federal agency or federal fire fighter eligible for regulation under the Texas Government Code, §419.084, may apply to the commission for regulation. The agency or individual must submit an application that elects regulation under one or more of the following components:

1. (1) standards for certification and continuing education;
2. (2) standards for structure fire protection personnel certification;
3. (3) standards for certified training facilities;
4. (4) standards for aircraft rescue fire fighting personnel certification;
5. (5) standards for marine fire protection personnel certification;
6. (6) standards for fire instructor certification;
7. (7) standards for fire inspector certification;
8. (8) standards for fire investigation certification;
9. (9) standards for protective clothing; and
10. (10) standards for self-contained breathing apparatus.
