A federal agency or federal fire fighter eligible for regulation under the Texas Government Code, §419.084, may apply to the commission for regulation. The agency or individual must submit an application that elects regulation under one or more of the following components:

1. (1) standards for certification and continuing education;
2. (2) standards for structure fire protection personnel certification;
3. (3) standards for structure recruit training facilities;
4. (4) standards for aircraft crash and rescue fire protection personnel certification;
5. (5) standards for aircraft crash and rescue fire protection personnel training facilities;
6. (6) standards for marine fire protection personnel certification;
7. (7) standards for fire protection instructor certification;
8. (8) standards for fire inspector certification;
9. (9) standards for fire and arson investigator certification;
10. (10) standards for protective clothing; and
11. (11) standards for self-contained breathing apparatus.
