- (a) Except as provided in subsection (d) of this section, a certificate of registration is valid for one year unless and until the department implements a two-year period of validity.
- (b) A modification to, or an early renewal of a certificate of registration, does not affect the date of expiration.
- (c) An expired registration provides the registrant with no authority to manufacture, distribute, prescribe, possess, analyze, dispense, or conduct research with a controlled substance.
- (d) Registrations of physicians who hold a license to practice medicine issued by the Texas Medical Board under Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 156 expire on the date the medical license expires.
