Confidentiality of Board Records

The director is the custodian of records of the Texas Municipal Retirement System. The files of all active members and of all persons receiving an annuity or any type of benefit from the system, including the names and addresses of such persons, are considered to be personnel records under the provisions of the Texas Open Records Act (Texas Civil Statutes, Article 6252-17a).
