1. (a) Purpose. These sections provide the criteria and procedures the department uses to determine a non-profit hospital's or hospital system's eligibility for limited liability certification by the department.
2. (b) Authority. These sections are authorized by Health and Safety Code, §311.0456, which requires the department to receive, verify and certify limited liability status for non-profit hospitals or hospital systems that meet the requirements of these sections.
