1. (a) Changes requiring alterations of the present curriculum must be approved by the board prior to implementation. The board shall approve such major changes as:

   1. (1) changes in philosophy and/or objectives which alter present curriculum;
   2. (2) increase or decrease in the length of the program; and
   3. (3) reorganization of the entire curriculum.

2. (b) The following materials must be submitted with the request for curriculum changes:

   1. (1) rationale for proposed change; this should include the anticipated effect on faculty, students, resources, and facilities;
   2. (2) presentation of current and proposed curriculum;
   3. (3) timetable for implementation of change; and
   4. (4) methods to be used to evaluate the results of the change.
