1. (a) Self-contained is defined as a class in which one teacher teaches all or most subjects to one class of students.

2. (b) An assignment in a self-contained classroom for All General Subjects, Grades 6-8, is allowed with one of the following certificates.

   1. (1) Bilingual Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   2. (2) Bilingual Generalist: Grades 4-8 (English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies only).
   3. (3) Core/Bilingual Education Spanish with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   4. (4) Core/English as a Second Language Supplemental with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   5. (5) Core/Fine Arts/Physical Education/Health with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   6. (6) Core/Special Education with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   7. (7) Core Subjects: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   8. (8) Core Subjects: Grades 4-8 (English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies only).
   9. (9) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   10. (10) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading: Grades 4-8 (English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies only).
   11. (11) Core with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   12. (12) Elementary--General.
   13. (13) Elementary--General (Grades 1-6).
   14. (14) Elementary--General (Grades 1-8).
   15. (15) Elementary Early Childhood Education (Prekindergarten-Grade 6).
   16. (16) Elementary Self-Contained (Grades 1-8).
   17. (17) English as a Second Language Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   18. (18) English as a Second Language Generalist: Grades 4-8 (English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies only).
   19. (19) Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6.
   20. (20) Generalist: Grades 4-8 (English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies only).
   21. (21) Prekindergarten-Grade 6--General.
