An inspector, commissioned as provided in this subchapter, is entitled to another commission without examination upon leaving an employer and commencing employment with another employer if the inspector:

1. (1) is employed by the new employer within 12 months after leaving the former employer;
2. (2) submits an application for a commission as required in this subchapter; and
3. (3) meets all other requirements for obtaining a commission.
