- (a) "Fringe benefits" is defined as allowances and services provided by an entity to its employees as compensation in addition to regular salaries and wages. Fringe benefits include the costs of leave, employee insurance, pensions, and unemployment benefit plans.
- (b) Grant funds may be used to pay fringe benefits only if grant funds are also being used for salaries.
- (c) A grantee must provide grant-funded personnel the same fringe benefits provided to all other non-grant-funded personnel of the grantee.
