Violations, Penalties, & Bonds.
The College of Charleston
Sec. 1. The driver and owner or person in whose name a vehicle is registered shall be responsible for all violations incurred by the vehicles.
Sec. 2. Penalties and/or bonds are payable in person at the City Police Department or the City Treasurer’s office, corner Broad and Meeting Streets, or by mail to the City Treasurer, P.O. Box 386, Charleston, S.C.
Sec. 3. Schedule of Penalties and Bonds:
| (a) | Parking improperly | $5.00 | |
| (b) | Parked in No Parking Area (Prohibited Zone) | 5.00 | |
| (c) | Parked in Loading or Service Zone | 5.00 | |
| (d) | Blocking (sidewalk) (driveway) | 5.00 | |
| (e) | No Parking Permit for ______ Area | 5.00 | |
| (f) | Parked at (fire plug) (in fire lane) | 5.00 | |
| (g) | Parking overtime | 1.00 |
Sec. 4. For delinquent violations not paid after the third day from the date of issuance—the bond will be increased as prescribed below:
- (a) $1.00 Bond Increased to $2.00
(b) $5.00 Bond Increased to $7.00
Sec. 5. Warrants will be served after 10 days of notification to registered owner. Bonds will increase as follows:
- (a) $2.00 Bond Increased to $5.00
- (b) $7.00 Bond Increased to $10.00
