Any person required to register pursuant to the provisions of the Sex Offenders Registration Act, Sections 581 et seq. of this title, who violates any provision of said act shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a felony punishable by incarceration in a correctional facility for not more than five (5) years, a fine not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or both such fine and imprisonment.
