A. The Oklahoma Military Advisory Commission shall be comprised of not more than twenty-one (21) members and shall include the following members:
1. The commanding officer at each of the following military installations or designee:
- a. Tinker Air Force Base,
- b. Vance Air Force Base,
- c. Altus Air Force Base,
- d. United States Army Field Artillery Center and Fort Sill,
- e. 95th Division (Training) at Midwest City, Oklahoma,
- f. McAlester Army Ammunition Plant at McAlester, Oklahoma,and
- g. the Adjutant General of Oklahoma;
- 2. Four members to be appointed by the Governor;
- 3. Three members to be appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate; and
- 4. Three members to be appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
- B. Members of the Armed Forces shall serve for the duration of their respective terms as commanding officer of said military installations.
C. Of those members initially appointed to the Commission by the Governor:
- 1. One appointee shall serve a term of two (2) years;
- 2. Two appointees shall serve a term of four (4) years; and
- 3. One appointee shall serve a term of six (6) years.
D. Of those members initially appointed to the Commission by the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate and the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives:
- 1. One appointee of each appointing authority shall serve a term of two (2) years;
- 2. One appointee of each appointing authority shall serve a term of four (4) years; and
- 3. One appointee of each appointing authority shall serve a term of six (6) years. Thereafter, the appointed members shall serve for a term of six (6) years. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointments.
- E. The Commanding Generals of Tinker Air Force Base, Altus Air Force Base, the United States Army Field Artillery Center and Fort Sill, and 95th Division (Training), and the Commanding Officers of Vance Air Force Base, and McAlester Army Ammunition Plant shall not be reimbursed for travel expenses incurred while performing their respective duties as members of the Oklahoma Military Advisory Commission. Such officers by virtue of their respective positions shall execute their responsibilities using federal funds allotted by their commands.
