The New Mexico medicaid program (medicaid) pays for medically necessary health services furnished to eligible recipients. To help individuals reentering the community following incarceration, the New Mexico medical assistance division (MAD) has 1115 authority to pay for covered medical services provided to incarcerated medicaid eligible individuals up to 90 days before their release.
