PURPOSE: This rule outlines the policy for reexamination of land surveyor-in-training and professional land surveyor applicants who fail the examination(s).
- (1) An applicant for enrollment as a land surveyor-in-training failing to make a passing grade on the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Fundamentals of Surveying Examination may have unlimited opportunities to retake the examination so long as the applicant remains qualified to be examined on the date of the reexamination and providing the applicant applies for reexamination in accordance with NCEES policy.
- (2) An applicant for examination and licensure as a professional land surveyor failing to make a passing grade on the NCEES Principles and Practice of Surveying Examination may have unlimited opportunities to retake the examination so long as the applicant and Professional Landscape Architects
remains qualified to be examined on the date of the reexamination and providing the applicant applies for reexamination in accordance with NCEES policy.
(3) An applicant for examination and licensure as a professional land surveyor failing to make a passing grade on the Missouri Specific Examination may have unlimited opportunities to retake the examination so long as the applicant remains qualified to be examined on the date of the reexamination and providing the following criteria are met:
- (A) The applicant applies for reexamination on forms furnished by the board;
- (B) The applicant pays the required reexamination fee;
- (C) The applicant files his/her application for reexamination on or before the filing deadline established by the board; and
- (D) The applicant provides any additional information deemed pertinent to the board.
