PURPOSE: This rule outlines the policy for reexamination of engineer-intern and professional engineering applicants who fail the examination(s).

1. (1) An applicant for enrollment as an engineer-intern failing to make a passing grade on the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Fundamentals of Engineering Examination may have unlimited opportunities to retake the examination so long as the applicant remains qualified to be examined on the date of the reexamination and providing the applicant applies for reexamination in accordance with NCEES policy.
2. (2) An applicant for examination and licensure as a professional engineer failing to make a passing grade on the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering Examination may have unlimited opportunities to retake the examination so long as the applicant remains qualified to be examined on the date of the reexamination and providing the applicant applies for reexamination in accordance with NCEES policy.
