PURPOSE: This rule provides a clear definition of the words twenty semester hours of approved surveying course work as those words are used in section 327.312.1(2), RSMo.

1. (1) The approved curriculum for a person applying for admission to the land surveyorin-training program and who has at least sixty

(60) semester hours of college level courses shall be in accordance with the following table: General Representative Semester Title Course Titles Hours Mathematics Trigonometry, Algebra, Analytic Geometry, Calculus, Statistics 8 Communications Technical Writing, Speech 3 Legal Aspects of Boundary Survey Legal Principles of Surveying, Missouri Surveying Law, Legal Principles and Boundary Control, Legal Aspects of Surveying 2 Science Physics, Geology, Astronomy, Dendrology, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Graphics 9 Surveying (A) Surveying I, Surveying II, Land Surveying, Land Survey Systems, Fundamentals of Surveying, Advanced Surveying, Electronic Surveying, Data Adjustment 12 Surveying (B) Subdivision Planning and Layout, Hydrographic Surveying, Photogrammetric Surveying, Route and Construction Surveying, Engineering and Geodetic Astronomy, Topographic Surveying, Cartographic Surveying 6
3. (2) Correspondence course work will be considered as college level courses only if they have been accepted for credit toward a degree by an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)-approved curriculum.
