Mo. Code Regs. Ann. tit. 2, § 90-50.010
PURPOSE: The Division of Weights and Measures of the Department of Agriculture is authorized to formulate and adopt rules for enforcement of sections 265.600–265.640, RSMo (1986) covering moisture-measuring devices for plant products. This rule establishes specifications and tolerances for the operation of moisture-measuring devices and all associated equipment that affects the final moisture determination.

SUMMARY: National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Handbook 44 (1990) which contains specifications, tolerances and other technical requirements for weighing and measuring devices. The purpose of these requirements is to remove from service any device that is false, that is of faulty construction or that facilitates the perpetration of fraud.
