PURPOSE: The purpose of this rule is to comply with section 196.876, RSMo 1986 and to identify each container of ice cream mix or related frozen food product mix with the manufacturer’s name, address and date of pasteurization.

1. (1) Identification of All Mix Containers.

   1. (A) An identification tag shall be attached by the manufacturer to each container of ice cream mix and to each container of related frozen food products mix, except where the necessary information can be printed or embossed on the container. The tag or container shall show manufacturer’s name and address with date of pasteurization. No mix shall be transferred by any person, firm, association or corporation to another container for the purpose of holding or storing as such.
   2. (B) No person, firm, association or corporation shall remove such identification or receive or have in his or its possession any container of mix covered by the Act which are not properly identified.
