PURPOSE: This rule establishes the basis for administering the podiatric service, including the designation of professional persons who may perform the examination and the fees paid for the necessary services.
- (1) Persons Eligible for Podiatric Services. Any person who is eligible for Title XIX benefits from the Division of Family Services and who is found to be in need of podiatric services in accordance with the procedures described in this rule.
- (2) Payment will be made for services by podiatrists who have an agreement with the Division of Family Services to the extent that those services are covered under the guidelines established by the Division of Family Services.
- (3) Payments will be on a fee basis and fees will be established by the Division of Family Services which shall not exceed Title XVIII reimbursement levels. Payment will be on a vendor payment basis.
