PURPOSE: This rule gives the definition, titling and registration requirements of an Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Device (EPAMD) pursuant to section 307.205.1, RSMo.
- (1) An Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Device (EPAMD) is a nontandem twowheeled device with an electric propulsion system of one (1) horsepower with maximum speed of less than twenty (20) miles per hour. The device meets the definition of a motorized bicycle as defined in section 301.010(36), RSMo and is therefore exempt from titling and registration pursuant to Chapter 301, RSMo.
