PURPOSE: This rule gives the definition, titling and registration requirements of an Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Device (EPAMD) pursuant to section 307.205.1, RSMo.

1. (1) An Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Device (EPAMD) is a nontandem twowheeled device with an electric propulsion system of one (1) horsepower with maximum speed of less than twenty (20) miles per hour. The device meets the definition of a motorized bicycle as defined in section 301.010(36), RSMo and is therefore exempt from titling and registration pursuant to Chapter 301, RSMo.
