Registration of Motorcycles and Motortricycles

PURPOSE: This rule clarifies the procedures for issuance of motorcycle and motortricycle license plates.
- (1) The department shall issue one (1) license plate to a motorcycle or motortricycle.
- (2) The motorcycle/motortricycle license plate is a multi-year license plate. It shall be renewable each year by the issuance of a validation tab. Motorcycle/motortricycle license plates expire annually on April 30.
- (3) The registration fee for a motorcycle or motortricycle purchased or acquired in any given month, and for which the owner does not hold a motorcycle or motortricycle license plate to transfer, shall be prorated based upon 12 CSR 10-23
the number of months from the date of operation until April of the following year.
