In each state fiscal year beginning after June 30, 2026, a local unit that receives a distribution under section 2(k) of this chapter may be eligible for a grant from the local road and bridge matching grant fund described in section 2(h) of this chapter. The grant distribution amount may not exceed the maximum amount set under section 8 of this chapter minus the amount the local unit received from a distribution under section 2(k) of this chapter. A distribution made under section 2(k) of this chapter may limit the total amount a local unit is eligible to receive from the local road and bridge grant matching grant under section 2(h) of this chapter only for the calendar year in which the funds are received.
