Ind. Code § 33-33-45-6

Juvenile court jurisdiction

Notwithstanding IC 31-30-1-2 , the juvenile court has exclusive jurisdiction over a child who:

  1. (1) has been taken into custody in the county; and
  2. (2) has allegedly committed an act that would be a misdemeanor traffic offense if committed by an adult.
