Rule 672-8-.03. Policy

In carrying out the purposes of this Chapter:

1. (a) Emphasis shall be placed on encouraging recycling of scrap and junk where practicable.
2. (b) Every effort shall be made to screen nonconforming junkyards which are to continue as on-going businesses.
3. (c) Nonconforming junkyards are to be relocated only as a last resort.
4. (d) The provisions of this chapter shall be carried out in relationship to such resources as are available to the Department.
