The Commissioner of Agriculture shall, before he or she enters upon the duties of office, give bond with good security to be approved by the Governor of this state, in the sum of $10,000, conditioned for the faithful discharge of the duties of office; and shall take the oath of office prescribed by the constitution of the state.
