1. (a) There is established, subordinate to the Director, a Zoning Administrator within the Department with primary authority for the administration of and determination of compliance with the Zoning Regulations of the District of Columbia (11-A DCMR § 100.1 et seq.) ("Zoning Regulations").
2. (b) The ZA shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council, pursuant to § 1-523.01(a).
3. (c) The ZA shall have not less than 8 years of senior-level experience in interpreting and enforcing zoning regulations.
4. (d) The ZA shall serve for one 5-year term and may be reappointed pursuant to subsection (b) of this section.
5. (e) The ZA shall not be required to resign at the end of a mayoral term or administration.

Applicability of D.C. Law 23-269: § 601 of D.C. Law 23-269 provided that the creation of this section by § 106 of D.C. Law 23-269 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.

Applicability

Applicability of D.C. Law 23-269: § 601 of D.C. Law 23-269 provided that the creation of this section by § 106 of D.C. Law 23-269 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.

Section 7276 of D.C. Law 24-45 repealed the applicability provision of section 601 of D.C. Law 23-269 that impacted this section. Therefore the creation of this section by Law 23-269 has been implemented.
