Section 1. Statement of Purpose. The Wyoming State Board of Psychology Rules and Regulations are set forth for the purpose of interpreting and implementing W.S. 33-27-113 through 33-27123, establishing the Board and conferring upon it the responsibility for licensing psychologists and school psychologists, certifying psychological practitioners and specialists in school psychology, and regulating the practice of psychology and school psychology in the State of Wyoming.
Section 2. Citation. The Wyoming State Board of Psychology Rules and Regulations shall be known, and may be cited as, the Board of Psychology Rules. The Wyoming State Board of Psychology shall be hereafter referred to as the Board.
Section 3. Regulatory Authority. The Board Rules are promulgated under the authority of W.S. 33-27-113 through 33-27123.
Section 4. Severability. If any provisions of these regulations or the application thereof to any individual or circumstance is invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or application of these regulations which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of these regulations are declared to be severable.
Section 5. Terms Defined by Statute. Terms defined in W.S. 33-27-113 through 33-27-123 shall have the same meanings when used in these regulations unless the context or subject matter clearly requires a different interpretation.
Section 6. Terms Defined Herein. As used in these regulations, the following terms shall have the following meanings unless the context or subject matter clearly requires a different interpretation.
(k) Regionally accredited - Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, North West Association of Schools and Colleges, South Association of Colleges and Schools, or Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
(m) 'Individual' means a person holding or seeking a license or certificate granted by the Board to practice psychology or school psychology pursuant to the Act or a person having any official matter before the Board.
(n) Substantially equivalent - the same as or more stringent than.
