CHAPTER 13

SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION

Section 1. Safeguarding Information.

(a) Use or disclosure of information obtained through the provision of IV-D services is limited to purposes directly connected with:

(i) Administration of the plan or program under parts A, B, D, E, and F of Title IV or under Titles I, X, XIV, XVI, XIX or XX or the SSI program established under Title XVI;

(ii) Any investigative, administrative or judicial proceeding conducted in connection with the administration of the plan; and

(iii) Other authorized uses allowed by state and federal law.

(b) Information which identifies an applicant or recipient by name or address shall not be disclosed to any person, committee or legislative body, except as allowed by Chapter 13, Section 1(a) of these rules.

Section 2. Record Keeping.

CSED shall keep and maintain records in compliance with all applicable state and federal law.
