CHAPTER IX

DIVORCE REGISTRATION

Section 1. Responsibility of the Clerk of District Court. The clerk of the district court or his designated representative shall:

1. (a) Obtain the personal information necessary to complete the divorce certificate from the attorney for the plaintiff or from the plaintiff himself if he has no legal representative;
2. (b) Complete all items of the divorce certificate;
3. (c) Sign the certificate.

Section 2. Time Limitations. Certificates should be forwarded to the State Registrar by the tenth of the month following the month in which the divorce was granted.
