WYOMING GAME AND FISH COMMISSION
CHAPTER 23
REGULATION GOVERNING TRAVELLING, PARKING AND CAMPING ON LANDS AND WATERS ACQUIRED IN THE NAME OF THE WYOMING GAME AND FISH DEPARTMENT
Section 1. Authority. Paragraphs c, d, j, n, r, x, and aa of Section 23-1-10, Chapter 249, Session Laws of Wyoming, 1973.
Section 2. Definitions. For the purpose of these regulations, the terms Commission, Depart- ment, regulations, and person are referenced to and adopted from definitions contained in Section 23-1-2, Chapter 249, Session Laws of Wyoming, 1973.
Section 3. Regulation and effective Date. The Commission hereby adopts the following regula- tions governing travel, parking and camping on lands and waters acquired in the name of the Department and, as applicable by contract, regulations shall become effective upon filing pursuant to Section 23-1- 11, Chapter 249, Session Laws of Wyoming 1973 and shall remain in effect until modified or rescinded by the Commission.
Section 4. Control of Travel, Camping and Parking. Where parking, camping, vehicular travel or human presence will unduly interfere with the purpose for which lands or waters are being managed, the public will be advised of restrictions on such activity by explanatory signs, placed at boundaries or points of access to said lands or waters. Said signs will specifically explain action prohibited and be designated as an official regulation of the Commission. Except as otherwise provided in Section 5 of this Regulation, no person shall travel, park or camp on lands or waters as referred to in Section 3 of this Regulation at a time or in a manner contrary to official regulatory signs posted on said lands or waters by the Department.
Section 5. Exceptions. Personnel of the Department, or other governmental agencies, respon- sible for the management of the wildlife or the management of the land and water are except from provisions of this regulation and further, the Director of the Department may, in writing, authorize parking, camping or travel on said lands or waters when activity is deemed beneficial to wildlife, land or water management.
