Section 1. Authority. These regulations are promulgated by authority of W.S. 23-1-302 and 23-2-105(d).
Section 2. Definitions. For the purpose of this regulation, definitions will be as set forth in Title 23, Wyoming Statutes; and the Commission also adopts the following definitions:
(a) "Nontoxic shot" means steel or bismuth shot.
Section 3. Hunting Seasons Established. There will be open seasons for the hunting of sage grouse as set forth in the Hunting Regulations (Section 4), Archery Regulations (Section 5), Falconry Seasons (Section 6) and Hunt Area Descriptions (Section 7) of this Chapter.
Section 4. Hunting Regulations.
(a) Bag and Possession Limit. Bag limit is the number of game birds which may be legally taken in one day. Possession limit is the number of game birds which may legally be in possession at any one time. Birds in transit or storage will be considered in possession.
(b) Shooting Hours. Shooting hours for the hunting of sage grouse will be from daylight to dark.
(c) Nontoxic shot shall be required for hunting sage grouse on all national wildlife refuges open for hunting.
(d) Open Areas, Season Dates, Bag Limits and Limitations.

Section 5. Archery Regulations.
(a) General Seasons. There will be an open season for the hunting of sage grouse by the use of archery equipment in all areas as set forth in Section 4 of this Chapter.
(a) There will be an open season for the hunting of sage grouse with falcons with limitations set forth in Section 4 of this Chapter.
(b) Falconry Season Dates. Areas listed in Section 4 of this Chapter will have an opening date of September 1 and a closing date of December 31.

Area 1. The entire state of Wyoming.
