Section 1. License Types. The Board is authorized to issue three (3) types of licenses (general dentistry, dental hygiene, and specialty dentistry) to those applicants who meet the educational, experiential, examination and other qualifications established by the Board and who substantiate those qualifications to the Board's satisfaction.
Section 2. Application Requirements for General Dentistry. Every applicant for a license to practice dentistry in the State shall submit an application at least 45 days prior to examination:

(c) Professional Background Information Service (PBIS) performs a complete background check on all applicants for specialty licensure. A fee is charged by PBIS for this service. The applicant must apply and pay the fee directly to PBIS. PBIS will obtain original source documents for the Board. PBIS information is contained in the application packet.
