The application by a peace officer, detention officer, or dispatcher for certification shall be made by completing the Initial Employment Form, provided by the director. (This form must be submitted to the commission within 15 days of appointment.)
The application by a peace officer, detention officer, or dispatcher for separation, name change, or other changes in status shall be made by completing applicable parts of the Personnel Change-In-Status Form. (This form must be submitted to the commission within 15 days of change in status.)
This form can only be used if the applicant holds a nonexpired Wyoming certification. The pre-employment hiring standards for the non-expired certification must meet or exceed the hiring standards for the certification applied for. Otherwise, an Initial Employment Form must be used.
Notice of Certification Action will be sent to newly appointed peace officers and/or dispatchers when the commission issues a temporary number to them.
This form shall be used for all peace officers and detention officers who are challenging the Wyoming peace officer basic course or the Wyoming detention officer basic course.
Completion of any commission certified training program or course which is attended by peace officers, detention officers or dispatchers shall be documented by the course coordinator by completing and submitting, to the director, a Notice of Course Completion Form.
To be completed and submitted to the commission at least 20 working days prior to the start of the scheduled training.
The application by an instructor for commission approval.
To be sent to the commission by any person seeking decertification action against any peace officer or detention officer.
The director shall be responsible for the content and format of all forms used in connection with these rules. Additionally, the director may adopt forms as necessary to meet the requirements created by these rules.
