Section 1. Individual. Any person using the title “Architect” or “Landscape Architect” on any title, sign, card or device to indicate that such person is practicing architecture or landscape architecture or is an architect or landscape architect, must be licensed as an architect or landscape architect in this state.
(a) Architects or landscape architects licensed under this act and practicing in Wyoming may work as partners or associates. All partners or associates whose name appear in the firm name along with an indication they are architects or landscape architects, shall be licensed as architects or landscape architects. Partnerships or associations of licensed architects or landscape architects may represent themselves as practicing architecture or landscape architecture by a firm name other than their individual names.
(b) Architects or landscape architects wishing to associate with engineers may allow their names to appear in the firm name so long as the architects or landscape architects are properly licensed in Wyoming.
(c) Contract documents must be imprinted and signed by the Wyoming licensed architect or landscape architect who is in charge of the project.
(d) The Board may require information about the business organization of a partnership or association practicing architecture or landscape architecture.
Section 3. Corporate Practice.- Business and Professional Corporations. Licensed architects or landscape architects owning or in the employ of business corporations formed in compliance with W.S. 17-1-101 et seq., the Wyoming Business Corporations Act, or professional corporations formed in compliance with W.S. 17-1-101 et. seq. and W.S. 17-3-101 et seq., Practice of Professions by Corporations, may practice through the corporations. All directors who are architects or landscape architects shall be licensed by the State of Wyoming if the corporation offers architectural or landscape architectural services to the public in Wyoming.
(a) Business or professional corporations formed in other states for the practice of architecture or landscape architecture must secure a Certificate of Authority to do business in Wyoming from the Secretary of State before engaging in the practice of architecture or landscape architecture in Wyoming.
(b) The architect or landscape architect in charge of the project must be licensed in Wyoming and must stamp and sign the contract documents.
(c) The Board may require additional information concerning the corporation’s business organization.
