Personnel performing moderate complexity testing must be qualified on the basis of education, training, experience and demonstrated skills, and must meet the following minimum requirements:

1. (1) Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent;
2. (2) Have documented training to perform the test;
3. (3) Have the skills required for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration procedures related to each test performed;
4. (4) Have the skills required to implement the quality control policies and procedures of the laboratory;
5. (5) Have the awareness of factors that influence test results;
6. (6) Be evaluated for competencies to perform the test by someone who is already qualified to perform the test;
7. (7) Be approved by the scientific director to perform the test.
