Land requirements for the production of bean seed are as follows:

1. (1) A field to be eligible for the production of Certified class must not have been planted to beans of a different variety the preceding one year.
2. (2) A field to be eligible for the production of Foundation or Registered classes must not have been planted to beans for the previous three years unless those beans were of the same variety of equal or higher class. The fields must be free of bacterial diseases during the previous two years of planting.
3. (3) A bean field is not eligible for production of Certified seed for more than two consecutive years.
