1. (1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), if the juvenile court obtains jurisdiction over a minor's case, the juvenile court's jurisdiction over the minor's case continues until:

   1. (a) the minor is 21 years old; or
   2. (b) if the juvenile court extends jurisdiction over the minor's case under Section 80-6-605, the minor is 25 years old.

2. (2)

   1. (a) Except as provided in Subsection (2)(c), the juvenile court's continuing jurisdiction under Subsection (1) terminates:

      1. (i) upon order of the court;
      2. (ii) upon an order for secure care under Section 80-6-705 ; or
      3. (iii) in accordance with Section 80-6-712.

   2. (b) The continuing jurisdiction of the juvenile court over a minor's case is not terminated:

      1. (i) by marriage; or
      2. (ii) when a minor commits an offense under municipal, state, or federal law that is under the jurisdiction of another court.
   3. (c) If a minor is ordered to secure care under Section 80-6-705, the juvenile court retains jurisdiction to make and enforce orders related to restitution until the Youth Parole Authority discharges the minor under Section 80-6-807.
