(1) The Legislature fixes salaries for the constitutional offices as follows:

1. (a) governor:$109,900;
2. (b) lieutenant governor:95% of the governor's salary;
3. (c) attorney general:95% of the governor's salary;
4. (d) state auditor:95% of the governor's salary beginningJune 28, 2008; and
5. (e) state treasurer:95% of the governor's salary.

(2) The Legislature fixes benefits for the constitutional offices as follows:

1. (a) Governor:

   1. (i) a vehicle for official and personal use;
   2. (ii) housing;
   3. (iii) household and security staff;
   4. (iv) household expenses;
   5. (v) retirement benefits as provided in Title 49, Utah State Retirement and Insurance Benefit Act;
   6. (vi) health insurance;
   7. (vii) dental insurance;
   8. (viii) basic life insurance;
   9. (ix) workers' compensation;
   10. (x) required employer contribution to Social Security;
   11. (xi) long-term disability income insurance; and
   12. (xii) the same additional state paid life insurance available to other noncareer service employees.

2. (b) Lieutenant governor, attorney general, state auditor, and state treasurer:

   1. (i) a vehicle for official and personal use;

   2. (ii) the option of participating in a:

      1. (A) state retirement system in accordance with Title 49, Utah State Retirement and Insurance Benefit Act:

         1. (I) Chapter 12, Public Employees' Contributory Retirement Act;
         2. (II) Chapter 13, Public Employees' Noncontributory Retirement Act; or
         3. (III) Chapter 22, New Public Employees' Tier II Contributory Retirement Act; or
      2. (B) deferred compensation plan administered by the State Retirement Office, in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code and its accompanying rules and regulations;
   3. (iii) health insurance;
   4. (iv) dental insurance;
   5. (v) basic life insurance;
   6. (vi) workers' compensation;
   7. (vii) required employer contribution to Social Security;
   8. (viii) long-term disability income insurance; and
   9. (ix) the same additional state paid life insurance available to other noncareer service employees.
3. (c) Each constitutional office shall pay the cost of the additional state-paid life insurance for its constitutional officer from its existing budget.
