Utah Code Ann. § 58-57-108

Use of title or designation.

Effective May 6, 2026Renumbered and Amended by Chapter 96, 2026 General Session

  1. (1) Only a respiratory care practitioner may use the following titles or designations:

    1. (a) respiratory care practitioner;
    2. (b) respiratory therapist; or
    3. (c) respiratory technician.

  2. (2) Only a respiratory care apprentice may use the following titles or designations:

    1. (a) respiratory care apprentice; or
    2. (b) respiratory therapy apprentice.
  3. (3) An individual who violates this section is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
