Term of license -- Expiration -- Renewal of specialist and intern licenses.

(1)
(a)
(i) Each license issued under this chapter shall be issued in accordance with a two-year renewal cycle established by rule the division makes in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act.
(ii) The division may extend or shorten the renewal period by as much as one year to maintain established renewal cycles or to change an established renewal cycle.
(b) As a condition for renewal or reinstatement of licensure, the applicant shall attest that the applicant will:
(i) maintain competence and safe practices; and
(ii) provide evidence as the division determines by rule in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, documenting competence at the division's request.
(c) A hearing instrument specialist license automatically expires on the expiration date shown on the license.
(2)
(a) The division shall issue a license for a hearing instrument intern for a term of three years.
