(1) Except as specifically provided in Section 58-1-307 or 58-11a-304, a license is required to:

1. (a) engage in the practice of:

   1. (i) barbering;
   2. (ii) barbering instruction;
   3. (iii) cosmetology/barbering;
   4. (iv) cosmetology/barbering instruction;
   5. (v) electrology;
   6. (vi) electrology instruction;
   7. (vii) esthetics;
   8. (viii) master-level esthetics;
   9. (ix) esthetics instruction;
   10. (x) nail technology; or
   11. (xi) nail technology instruction; or

2. (b) operate:

   1. (i) a barbering school;
   2. (ii) a cosmetology/barbering school;
   3. (iii) an electrology school;
   4. (iv) an esthetics school; or
   5. (v) a nail technology school.

(2) The division shall issue to a person who qualifies under this chapter a license in the following classifications:

1. (a) barber;
2. (b) barber instructor;
3. (c) barber school;
4. (d) cosmetologist/barber;
5. (e) cosmetologist/barber instructor;
6. (f) cosmetology/barber school;
7. (g) electrologist;
8. (h) electrologist instructor;
9. (i) electrology school;
10. (j) esthetician;
11. (k) master esthetician;
12. (l) esthetician instructor;
13. (m) esthetics school;
14. (n) nail technology;
15. (o) nail technology instructor; and
16. (p) nail technology school.
