As used in this part:

1. (1) "Charging system" means a device that is:

   1. (a) used to provide electricity to an electric or hybrid electric vehicle; and
   2. (b) designed to ensure a safe connection between the electric grid and the vehicle.
2. (2) "General electrical contractor" means the same as that term is defined in Section 58-55-202.
3. (3) "Residential electrical contractor" means the same as that term is defined in Section 58-55-202.
